Weather is something we experience every day. To help understand it, we need to take a big step out into space, get away from our planet, and see how the earth, as it turns on its axis and rolls through its orbit, sets up the conditions that give us all these atmospheric changes.

Our weather is driven mainly by the sun, which heats our planet’s surface, warms the atmosphere, and makes it possible for liquid water to exist.
